Final Day of Lessons!

Hi Guys, it's officially the end of lessons for us today. We are so glad that everything is finally over, as there won't be any work left to do after today, except blogging. We were presented with a certificate to certify that our course of study in China has been completed. After the certificate ceremony, and some photo taking, our IS presentation started off with a hilarious entertainment, as the first few groups presented their research. As evening approaches, everyone had finished their presentation, and it was free and easy time for all of us. My friends and I decide to have a karaoke session with everyone, after dinner. We sang our hearts out for 3 hours, and everyone had fun singing along. It was my first time being at a karaoke session, and to be honest I never liked being to these places, as I felt that it had a bad atmosphere. However, after what I experienced tonight, it is best to go with friends whom you trust, and not with people whom you just met. We headed back around midnight, and many of us went to bed after awhile. Tomorrow will be our last day for shopping at Cheng Du, and I hope we will shop till we drop! Goodnight everyone!

Good Evening everyone, I finally manage to catch up on my sleep! It was another free and easy day for me again, and I spent my time doing projects and did some improvements if necessary. In the afternoon, I spent nearly an hour to 2, interviewing the locals about their school life. While talking to them, I realise that they tried their best to share with us about their school life, and also to answer the questions we had in mind. I'm glad that I got my questions all sorted out, and I hope that they will visit Singapore one day too! During the night, we went to Guang Han to visit the night market. It was just like our "Pasar Malam" (Night Market) in Singapore. There wasn't anything much, but there were many food and snacks that caught my eye. I wanted to try the rabbit's head, however at the sight of it, I didn't had the guts to try it. It had been a long day and I'm prepare to present my presentation tomorrow. I hope my presentation would be entertaining and I would try to ace it also. Goodnight!

I'm finally home, back into the warm an humid weather that Singapore always have. I'm happy to be home, however I miss the food and weather in China. As the saying goes, good things always come to an end. I slept at about 6 in the morning, as my friends and I talked through the night. It's was like a sharing session and also to know each other better. We left the school and headed to the airport at 2 in the afternoon, where we had an early dinner and boarded the plane at 8 in the evening. Smiles on parents faces were seen as each of us exit the arrival hall, and that marks the end of the china trip. I would like to thank all teachers and friends who had made this trip a memorable one! Thank you everyone.

Final Day of Shopping

Hi guys, it's already the second last day for this china trip and I'm going home tomorrow. A lot happened today, and I'm happy to spend these last moments with my friends here. We went to Cheng Du in the wee hours of the morning to do our shopping. It was already crowded with people when we reach there. The shops were filled with people as they walked in and out of it. My friends and I decided to shop around, and to our surprise, the shops there were filled with clothes and shoes that we have taste in. This was when we spent our money like water, purchasing almost anything we saw that caught our eye. After 5 hours of non stop shopping, it was time for us the head back. My friend Wu kai had already decided to get a pair of shoes, and so I went with him. After seeing the shoe that he wanted, I decided to get it too as I like it very much. We told the shop owner the size that we wanted, and he gave us 2 boxes of shoes. I walked out of the shop with a bad feeling, and decided to open the box. I found out that it wasn't the shoe I want. I returned to the shop and demanded an exchange. The boss then came back with the correct shoe, but a diff size. I then tried it, and to my surprise, my feet fitted perfectly, but it was uncomfortable. I decided to walk away as I was rushing for time. It was rush hour for me as I gathered 15 minutes later than my friends. I felt that the shop owner had insulted me when he tried to cheat on me. But at the same time, I took it as a lesson learnt, that I ought to be careful in the future. The day then ended with a magnificent display of fireworks. I'm happy that I'm going home tomorrow, can't wait to get back on my cozy bed!

Free and Easy at Guang Han!

Hi guys! I almost walked the whole of Guang Han today! It was free and easy for us, so my friends and I decided to do some shopping at Guang Han. We had breakfast at a noodle shop, and I treated Mr Tan to a meal! I'm glad that he enjoyed the food. After our heavy breakfast, we did our shopping at nearby shops and walked for hours as each of us went round in search of apparels or stuff we wanted. After hours of shopping, we headed back to our dorms and started to crack our heads for the upcoming presentation we are going to present this Monday. I guess I will start my work now, I'm happy that we are going back soon. See you!

Fireworks!

Good evening everyone! I spent the entire day doing my projects and report, and I'm lucky that I manage to get it done. In the late afternoon, My classmates and I went to experience how to use the Nun chuck. I thought it would be easy, as swinging of the Nun chuck looks like it was a piece of cake. However, when I tried swinging it, it wasn't easy at all as it was hard to grab the other end of the Nun chuck after swinging it. After practicing for an hour or so, we got a hang of it and some of our moves became smoother.

It is Jasmine's birthday tomorrow, and some of us celebrated her birthday with her! Fireworks were put up on display as she was given a surprise by us! After singing her a birthday song, we played with the cake and had loads of fun with the local students. Nothing interesting happened today, I guess I will need to finish editing my presentation slides before sleeping. Good night.

Shopping Spree at Cheng Du

Hi everyone! Today was our chance to do our shopping at the city, Cheng Du. At the dimple light of dawn, everyone woke up feeling excited for the trip. Our first stop was at a theme park, where we had our breakfast. Upon alighting from our mini bus, Mac Donalds restaurant stood boldly, and everyone's eyes shined crystal clear. It was almost a few months since I ate at Mac Donald's, and the meals here are different, compared to those in Singapore. After digging into a heartily meal, my friends and I went shopping at the factory outlet stores. Time was short as we had to gather after an hour or so, however, we manage to shop for some sports accessories. Sports outlets such as, Adidas, Nike, Kappa, and others were seen. After getting what we wanted, we headed to the city for more shopping and lunch. Crowds of locals and foreigners were seen walking the streets of Cheng Du, and along the rows of shops that were lined up for us. We then split ourselves up into groups and shopped for our apparels and anything that catches our eye. After hours of walking till our feet got sore, many of us were happy that we bought stuff we wanted, as for me, I didn't get anything as nothing suits me. Guess I'll head to town this weekend to do some last minute shopping. We were all dead tired once we touched school grounds. Lesson will be carried out tomorrow, and I'm going to bed early. First Presentation

Hi Guys, its presentation day today! I felt nervous the moment I got up from my sleep, how I wished that this presentation wouldn't take place . The reason why I was afraid to present my research was because, I was scared that what my friend and I had researched on would be out of topic, and our presentation might not be relevant to what was the required instruction. Still, I told myself there was nothing to be afraid of, and Raiqal and I carried out our presentation proudly. After the presentation, there was a sense of relief, as my heart beat calmed down, and felt that a load was of my shoulder. I was happy that I manage to present it well, and it was over. Remember that I'd mentioned that my friends and I did some online shopping? Well, my Converse shoes arrived today, and I'm happy with the quality. There wasn't any defects and the size suits me. I was worried that the goods won't arrive as I heard some websites for online shopping aren't real. Well, I guess you can't judge a book by its cover. I hope that my cap and bag would reach at my doorstep soon! I didn't do anything productive today, as I felt tired and napped for a while before having dinner. Tomorrow would be shopping day at the city! So excited! I'm going to have an early night. Sweet dreams everyone.

April Babies!

Good evening guys! How are you all doing? I'm fine! The trip is coming to an end soon, as its days are drawing near, my friends and I are having so much fun that we almost forget to do our reports and presentations. During dinner today, we celebrated 5 of our friend's birthday, though their birthdays wasn't on the same day, we celebrated for them in advance. Local students and teachers were invited to the dinner as almost 50 of us filled the entire restaurant. It was filled with joy as we talked and ate to our heart's content. After dinner, cake cutting session was presented to complete the birthday celebration. Cake smashing and running about was involved as some of our mischievous friends wanted more fun. I guess this was the best day for the April babies. Anyway, Happy Birthday to all the April babies! May your wish come true!
