Soccer

Hi guys, did you had fun today? Well, I certainly did! Today, lesson was quick and short as Mr Lim was about to teach finish the entire syllabus. We had a friendly match with the locals today. I admit they were much more skilled than we are. They ran as fast as lightning, allowing them to move swiftly. It was a thrilling and exciting match, and I scored a goal by luck, as the goalkeeper wasn't tall enough. We ended with a draw at the end of the match. Though we didn't win, we were happy that we were given a chance to play with the locals. From the game, I learnt that, although we may not be skilled enough to play soccer, however, teamwork is important in the game, hence allowing our team to have a better chance of scoring. We would be playing again the following week, and it'll be a 90 minutes game. I guess I got to turn in early, as we are going to Er Mei moutain tomorrow. It'll be my first time seeing snow, and I'm excited. Goodnight.

Chinese Tea!

Old pot
Hi all, did you have a great day today? Well, I got a chance to understand more about Chinese tea and how should one drink it. It all happened during our IS lesson, we were told about the 10 steps towards enjoying a cup of tea, and how should the tea be prepared. The fun came in when we had to prepare tea for ourselves to drink. We had to pour boiling water into a flask, so as to soak the dried tea leaves to release it's fragrant. It is then poured into small cups for drinking. It is also said that the most expensive tea leaves cost 80,000 Yuan, for 500grams. I guess its important to understand that tea ceremony is also an important part of the Chinese culture. I've learnt about it's history, how is tea being brewed, and how to enjoy a cup of tea. My friends and I played basketball and did some running at the gym, followed by a sumptuous dinner! We had ordered 5 mouth water dishes again, and ate to out heart's content. I feel happier when my stomach is full, as it gives me a good sleep. I can't wait for our trip to Er Mei Mountain, feeling anxious about it! Guess I'm going to hit the bed soon. Goodnight

San Xing Dui Museum

Good Evening guys, I just came back from half a day's activity, and felt exhausted after what we did today. Well, we had lesson as per normal, and Mr Lim had started to teach chapter 4 of our core module. Just two more topics and we're ready for exam. We had a miniature excursion to the San Xing Dui museum, where all archaeological artifacts in ancient China are put up on display. It was only a 10 minutes drive from our school, and 46 students, including teachers managed to squeeze into a miniature bus! We took some group photos when we arrived at the museum, and started flying kites! The cold chilly wind blew across our faces as we tried flying our kites. My friends and I did many attempts to fly it, but only Doyle succeeded in it. Some of us tried out best, however we failed. What made us laughed was when my kite, and Doyle's got stuck on a tree, and it was impossible to retrieve it. We visited 2 sites in the museum, and I am amazed by what the archaeologist found. Artifacts such as, stone weapons used for hunting, pots and pans for containing food, and many others.

After the trip to the museum, my friends and I went for dinner, and decided to give ourselves a treat. We had "Ma La ToFu", Hotpot beef, and other spicy dishes. I ate to my heart's content, as we ordered 6 different variety of dishes, ranging from non-spicy to spicy ones. If dinner was like this daily, my stomach would be the happiest organ. Well guys, I had an awesome day today and I'm going to have an early night, shall post again tomorrow, goodnight all.

Chinese Chess!

Chinese Chess
Good Evening guys! It's Tuesday, and had to check if the swelling on my toe had subsided. Well, I checked and there wasn't any difference, so I decided to wait for another 2 days. We had our lecture today as usual, and finished the third chapter of this module and common test is coming up. I had lunch at my dorm. Today's lesson for IS was fun, as we challenged with our classmates in Chinese chess! A local teacher lectured us about the rules of Chinese chess and its history. Well, the lecture had helped me to recap most of the rules in Chinese chess, and I played an exciting game with my classmates. I feel that Chinese Chess also allows me to increase my thinking skills and it helps my IQ when you play long enough. It is possible to be professional chess player when you play for years. After lesson, we went to a nearby town, Guang Han, and did some shopping for dinner. We got ourselves cooked food, such as, Peking duck, smoked beef, grilled chicken, and other mouth watering dishes to go with it! We had a great time having dinner with Mr Tan. It was a fantastic evening, and I wish to have more mouth watering dishes lined up for me in my next meal! I have to sleep early today, have a goodnight everyone!

Paper Cutting!

Nice?
Hello everyone! The infection on my toe seem to have subsided, however, I still need to take care of it. If the swell doesn't subside tomorrow, I'll have to head to the hospital again, and see what needs to be done. We had Mr Lim's lesson from 9 in the morning, till noon, and lunched with the boys from class M3. Had fun eating with them, as they are always filling the atmosphere with joy and laughter. For our IS class today, we had a paper cutting session. It takes great patience and skill to cut a beautiful piece. I took at least 2 hours to cut out 4 simple shapes to it's perfection. I learnt how to be patient after cutting a few shapes, as I enjoyed the session. After class, I went back to my dorm to do laundry, and Mr Tan invited me over to his room for peking duck! Its one of the best I've eaten so far, as it fatty skin with tender flesh goes in your watering mouth, making it taste great! I had dried pot chicken with my classmates before heading back to my dorm for an early night. You don't get to eat very spicy stuff in Singapore, and the dish we had just spiced up my body. I did sweat while eating it, and that proves how spicy it is. Played a game of snooker with my friends before heading back to my dorm. Well, hope my toe will be alright by tomorrow. I'll post again tomorrow. Have fun loved ones. Bye!

Lecture on a Sunday

Fried Banana
Hospital
Good Evening guys! Its Sunday, and yet, there's still lecture conducted. It was suppose to be the whole day, but Mr Lim was nice enough to conduct it only in the morning. After lecture, I headed to the laundry shop to collect my clothes, and had snacks for lunch! I ate, friend banana again. Guess I have to control what I'm eating, or else, my acne problem won't disappear. I had a game of basketball with my friends and the local students, before heading back to my dorm. Recently, my toe was swelling and I applied medicine on it, however, the swelling did not subside. I approached Mr Tan for help, and he told me that Melissa was also going to the hospital. I tagged along to visit the doctor. After consultation, Melissa's wound  had to go through a minor surgery, as for me, I needed the wound to subside, hence, antibiotics were given to me.

Invited for a game

I headed back to school for dinner. The local students put up some performance, and invited us along with them. My clique and I then went to see what's installed for us. The performance was the same as the one before. Singing and dancing were involved, and our school mates did some raping. They also had a game for us, and we played on stage. The evening was filled with laughter and joy as the locals and us had a great time singing along, and laughing. It's late, I'm going to sleep now, goodnight.

Earthquake Site

Railway Tracks
Hi guys, I manage to get a good night’s sleep. We visited the Si Chuan’s earthquake site this morning, and the journey took us approximately an hour and a half. When we arrived at that place, layers of dust can be ssen covering some buildings and other enormous structures.

How it all began
The guide at the earthquake site explained to us had what happened, and how were the victims saved. It took them weeks to save some of them, while some were not fortunate enough to get saved. It was a tragic event as hundreds of them died during the earthquake. We visited 3 sites where the earthquake took place, one of them was the clock tower.

Clock tower
It is said that the clock had stopped at the time the earthquake took place. The entire site was badly run down and it looks like its in ruins, and plan to use that place as a learning site.

Excuse me boys...

Puppy from the canteen. Cute!

We returned to school for lunch and most of us headed back to our dorms, while others went out to look around. I played table tennis in the evening, and dined in my dorm. Tomorrow would be a 3 hour lecture in the morning before we have our free time. I’ll post again! Bye all.
