Dance Dance Dance

I overslept today again! I guess I will need more time to sleep. Lesson carried on as usual in the morning, and it was time for dance practice for the upcoming performance in the evening. My dance mates and I had a good 4 hours of practice, ensuring our dance moves were carried out without any error. I was happy that we didn't make any mistake during our practice, and thought it'll be perfect during the concert. However, to my disappointment, while we were performing, I actually flopped a bit as there were some minor errors that were made by me. I panicked and tried to carry on with the dance. The whole event ended with a success as all of us completed our objective. It was my first time volunteering to perform in front of a crowd. Well, it wasn't that bad after all, I had fun during my performance. I wish I could have done better during the dance, but it's over, and I'll try improving the next time. Tomorrow is going to a busy day as were are heading out. Goodnight everyone.

Happy Dinner

First 11
Hello! Common test is finally over, and everyone had fun today! After common test, there was a soccer match with local students. The game was a exciting one, and all of us had fun playing. However, we lost to them, to a score of 9 : 4. Though the match was disappointing, our team members did not give up at any point of time, and persevered till the end. With burning sensation in our souls, we tried to score as many goals as we could. We had dinner after the game and almost 20 of us went out to the nearby village for dinner at a restaurant. As we celebrated, laughters and chattering could be heard from all directions, and it's one of the best nights I had. I wish for more of this gatherings to happen, so that I'll be able to mix with everyone. Alright, now presentations are coming up, and I've got to get to it, have a goodnight everyone.

Last Day of Revision!

Common test is tomorrow, and I'm nervous for my paper. I hope I did prepare myself well enough for tomorrow's paper. What makes me nervous is the number of competitors, and I'm afraid I'm not as good as them in academic studies. I hope I can do well for my common test tomorrow. Everyone has been busy mugging since Monday, and I'm sure they will do well. I'm shocked that time passed so fast, we are only down to 2 weeks of stay here, and so much has happened. Remember about our online shopping? Well, we manage to get those orders today to Miss Ling. She was happy to help us get what we want online, and we spent the whole day browsing through the items that we would like to have. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the goods we asked for would come. I'm going to turn in early today, good luck everyone for common test!

Online Shopping!

Common test is closing in, and I've left 2 more days of revision. I guess most of my friends are confident about our test, as we practiced past year papers. Well, I'll need to mug harder for my up coming test as I know I'm good at making careless mistakes, and I'm not confident. Nothing much happened today, lesson was as usual. I had dance practice again with my friends, and I learnt the second part of the dance. It wasn't hard, but practice makes perfect! I played soccer, and it was also training for this Thursday. Few days ago, we browsed through some goods online, and decided to do online shopping. Since then, everyone has been busy on their laptops looking at the goods online, as these goods will be ordered online tomorrow. It's our first time doing online shopping in China, hope the goods will arrive without trouble. It's late, and I am going to hit the bed. Goodnight!

Ordinary Day...

All the fun that happened during the weekend was over, and it was time to hit the books. Common test is coming up this Thursday, and all of us are in our dorms mugging for it during our free time. Mr Lim had only left one chapter to teach us, and revision would be carried out tomorrow. Its time to revise today as I've been busy  playing and hanging around during my free time. Marcus asked if I was interested to perform as a group this Friday for a concert, and to my surprise, I agreed, knowing I'm not into dancing. We tried rehearsing today, and I'm glad it was successful, but practice still needs to be done. Time for my revision, guess I won't post much until common test is over. Take care everyone! goodnight!

Emei Shan!

Wonder boys
It was at the dimple light of dawn, and we had to get up early so as not to miss sunrise. We had planned to reach at the top of the mountain to watch sunrise, and everyone had to gather at 5.30 in the morning for breakfast. There was a bus station that would drive us up to the top of the mountain, however, upon arriving the bus station, it was filled with crowds of people. Tourist lined up in long queues so as to board the bus quickly, and some were lucky enough to reach the top of the mountain first. Unfortunately, we were not given the privilege to watch sunrise, as we weren't lucky enough to board the bus first. We waited for 30 minutes before boarding the bus to drive us up the mountain. The ride up the mountain was a bumpy one, as the roads had curves and sharp corners. I had a slight headache and felt a little nausea after alighting the bus. The snow on the ground made it slippery, so we had to purchase a pair of cane slippers so as to prevent us from slipping. With our walking sticks and cane strapped on slippers for our shoes, we made our way up the mountain.

Snow ball!
It was my first time seeing snow, and I felt a little excited when I touched it with my bare hands. As we pressed on, monkeys were seen, as they swing from one branch to another, and some were seen feasting on snacks. I find them cute as some tourist manage to take a picture with them, and I wasn't so lucky to do so. We made our way to the cable car station and along the way, there were many beautiful scenic areas and had to join a long queue to get on to the cable cars.

The monkey ignored me!

However, there are some uncivilised tourist who cut queue in front of others, and some minor disputes began. I guess that is normal for the people of China. The view from the cable car was fantastic and I'm happy to get a few shots from the cable car. Upon arriving the top of the mountain, we had a light snack and visited the golden Buddha statue.

Do you see a queue?

Love locks!
While walking up a flight of stairs, I saw love locks were hung along the rail of the stairway, and I wanted to get one of it. To my disappointment, it was no longer on sale. The Buddha statue is said to be the biggest statue on a mountain. I'm also fantasized by how this giant Buddha was built given its old technology.

I am King!

After a few hours of trekking on a mountain, it was time to head back to school. The bus journey from Emei to school was a long one as it took approximately 4 hours. Most of us were dead beat, and slept on the bus, others still have the thriving energy in them, and carried on chatting among themselves. I'm happy to be given an opportunity to visit such a fantastic and wonder place this weekend, and I wish to come back here to visit if given a chance. I'm going to turn in now after a long day. Good night.

Big Buddha!

Petrol Station
Hi everyone! I'm back from my trip from Emei mountain and Le Shan! It's been a wonderful experience and my journey was filled with fun and joy. I shall post what I did yesterday. As the Journey to Emei would take approximately 3 hours, we left in the wee hours of the morning. Along the highway, we stopped at a petrol station for toilet break. To my horrendous discovery, the toilets aren't clean as the cubicles are mounted with bowels and wastes that has yet to be cleared away. There wasn't even a single molecule of oxygen left for us to breathe! I suggest that the toilets would need a clean up, so as to allow comfort for other users. We had lunch before visiting the giant Buddha. The massive stone carvings amazed me, as I stood scratching my head, figuring out how the carvings were done. It is said that these carvings were done as early as 700 AD. I am surprised how the people in the past manage to carve such a huge sculpture, given its technology. I guess much effort, perseverance, and hard work are poured into it.

GIANT Buddha
See a sleeping Buddha?
After visiting the giant Buddha, we headed to a hotel to stay in for a day. We had an early dinner and walked around the small town. After much walking, my friends and I decided to go for a massage. It was my second time going for it, and we did a full body massage. Professionalism were being portrayed as the masseuse massaged us. I felt enlightened after a 45 minutes body massage. As night began to fall, I felt tired for the day and decided to sleep early as we had to get up early to visit Emei mountain the following day. Felt excited as it will be my first time seeing snow and touching it.
